Bike Tours
Freedom on Two Wheels
There is a reason motorcyclists talk about their rides the way poets talk about sunsets. On a bike, you are not just traveling through a landscape -- you are part of it. The wind carries the smell of pine forests, rain-soaked earth, or sea salt directly to you. Temperature changes tell you when you have climbed 500 meters or descended into a valley. Every curve in the road is a decision, every straightaway is a meditation, and every mountain pass is a triumph.
India was built for motorcycle touring. The roads from Manali to Leh climb through five of the world's highest motorable passes, each one more dramatic than the last. Rajasthan's desert highways stretch to the horizon under a sky so wide it curves at the edges. The Western Ghats' hairpin bends twist through coffee plantations and rainforests where you can smell the spices before you see them. And Kerala's coastal roads hug the Arabian Sea while fishing villages flash past in a blur of bright paint and drying nets. Our bike tours are not unsupported rides. We provide Royal Enfield motorcycles (the iconic Indian touring bike) or arrange your preferred make, a support vehicle with a mechanic who can fix anything on the roadside, a lead rider who knows every turn and pothole, accommodation booked along the route, and a detailed roadbook with maps, fuel stops, and emergency contacts. We cater to all experience levels. Expert riders get challenging routes with high passes and technical terrain. Intermediate riders get scenic routes with moderate challenges and plenty of photo stops. And pillion riders (passengers) are welcome on every tour -- some of the best motorcycle tour photographs in the world come from the back seat.

The Manali-Leh ride with Traveltoons was the best 10 days of my life. The support vehicle saved us twice with mechanical issues, the lead rider knew every pass like his backyard, and the camp at Pangong Lake was unforgettable. If you ride, you must do this trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own motorcycle?
No. We provide well-maintained Royal Enfield motorcycles (Classic 350/500 or Himalayan). If you prefer to ride your own bike, we offer own-bike options at reduced pricing. International riders can also rent premium touring bikes.
What experience level do I need?
We offer routes for all levels. Ladakh and Spiti require confident riding experience on varied terrain. Rajasthan and coastal routes are suitable for intermediate riders. We assess your experience during booking and recommend appropriate routes.
What happens if a bike breaks down?
Our support vehicle carries a mechanic, tools, and spare parts for common repairs. A spare motorcycle is also available. In the rare event of a major breakdown, we arrange a replacement bike from the nearest town while yours is repaired.
Is riding in India safe?
Indian roads are challenging but manageable with experience and a good lead rider. We brief riders on traffic patterns, horn etiquette, and road hazards. Group riding protocols keep everyone safe. Highway sections are generally well-maintained; off-road sections are the exciting part.
